Established in 1989, Ferndown Nursing Home is a small yet dedicated care facility that offers a comprehensive range of services, including quality residential, nursing care, and palliative care. We take pride in delivering the highest standard of nursing care in a warm and welcoming environment designed to make residents feel safe, comfortable, and valued. Our home specialises in providing tailored care services for individuals, needing support with both their physical and emotional well-being. At Ferndown Nursing Home, our friendly and attentive staff are at the heart of everything we do. Every detail of our accommodation reflects this commitment, from the tastefully decorated rooms to the luxurious en-suite bathrooms, designed to combine comfort and practicality. We encourage each resident to bring personal items, cherished possessions, and familiar pieces of furniture to make their space uniquely their own. This helps create a sense of familiarity and comfort, fostering a true feeling of home.

“I can’t praise Ferndown Nursing Home enough. Initially, my mother was sent there from a hospital for end-of-life care. She also had severe dementia and was bedbound. The care they showed her was outstanding. Whenever we arrived, often unannounced, she was happy and clean, and all the staff were incredibly friendly. Not long afterward, my father took a downturn and missed her terribly. Since we lived far away, we moved him into Ferndown Nursing Home so he could visit her and receive care himself. Though my father was unsteady on his feet and difficult to manage, the staff handled his care with professionalism and kindness. They always had a smile, which we truly appreciated. Eventually, he settled in. The kindness they showed to my brother and me was exceptional.”
